コロナウイルスは RNA Recombination しまくるらしくて、でその様子を調べると、SARS-CoV-2の系統の人間に感染する能力はおそらくコウモリが宿主であったときに獲得したんだろうと。pangolin(センザンコウ?) も似たウイルスを持ってるが、分析によるとウイルスの出処はそこじゃない、みたいな。
