Bring back the rat to gerontology, they say? Bring back the autopsy study, they say? Well, I raise you: bring back the lizard and tortoise. In this case, it'd be more like "bring back from the dead" because reptiles have always been a niche model at best.

@MsRubinChats Thanks for your suggestion. This tortoise was also suggested in a recent correspondence attached here. Scientists normally prefer to study long-lived mammals (eg. naked mole rat, elephant, bowhead whale) but variety can be useful. https://t.
